• This blue hosta has thick elongated leaves with a wavy margin that are tough and leather like.
• Vigorous hosta that emerges a soft blue in spring. By mid-summer the leaves are a shiny dark green.
• I absolutely love the flower buds before they open.
• Periwinkle buds have purple stripes that open to fragrant lavender-blue flowers in late summer.
• In "The Hostaspedia" Mark Zilis writes of the flowers, "comes closest to blue of any hosta that I've ever seen".
