• Picture a hosta with a very sturdy upright habit but also with long cascading leaves. That is H. 'Jade Cascade'.
• Dark green leaves are held on very tall petioles but the leaves are so long that they can touch the ground.
• The leaves have deep veining and a gentle waviness.
• I have seen a clump where I would have sworn there was a three tiered planter behind all the leaves.
• Some pictures I have seen look like the leaves are shields protecting the petioles. 
• Lavender flowers in mid-summer.
