Brunnera 'Silver Heart' PP24685

(Mature Size: 15"T x 20"W)

• Brunnera ‘Silver Heart’ features striking, heart-shaped leaves that are almost entirely silver, accented by fine green veins and a narrow green border.
• Delicate, sky-blue blooms appear in mist-like clusters, creating a spectacular forget-me-not effect.
• Its leaves are thicker than those of other cultivars, helping the plant withstand the heat of southern gardens.
• ‘Silver Heart’ makes a dramatic accent in small, shady garden spaces or containers.
• In larger beds, plant it in groups or use it as a border for a captivating display that is sure to spark conversation.

Brunnera is a woodland plant that should be grown in full shade and consistently moist soil in southern regions. In the north, morning sun is acceptable as long as the soil remains moist. They will grow the fastest and strongest in rich soil.

Little care is needed once Brunnera is established. Cut back the old foliage in the spring rather than in the fall; it will help to protect the crown during the winter. A winter mulch is also recommended.

Why Should I Grow It? The silver foliage and the blue flowers in spring.
