Bloodline Hosta

(Mature Size: 14"T x 24"W)

(NEW For 2027!)

• Leaves emerge shiny green in spring and quickly blush red.
• A much more dependable blusher and more saturated than H. 'First Blush'.
• Leaves are longer then they are wide with a slight ripple.
• The blushing red fades to green with the heat of summer but does hold for a long time.
• The red blushing color is a defense against cold temperatures. This is why the blushing color is more prevalent in spring and fall.
• It is also noted that some bright sunlight gives a better red color.
• Pale purple flowers on red scapes in late summer.

Why Should I Grow It? You want to see the blushing red color each spring. Flowers earlier than other blushing hostas so it is better for breeding with.
