• Hosta 'Allegan Emperor' forms a huge vase-shaped mound that changes color from grey-green in spring to a shiny dark green by July.
• Leaves emerge with lots of wax making them look like they are covered with dust.
• The wax fades very quickly and the leaves become a shiny green color.
• Leaves are very wrinkled and folded giving the clump a lazy appearance.
• Forms a giant mound of elegant foliage.
• This hosta has very thick substance for great slug resistance.
• Has the ability to reach the listed size but only in a good soil and exposure location.
• Most growers may see a clump 24"T x 50"W.
• Clusters of lavender flowers bloom in July on 48-inch scapes.
