• The red on the petioles is concentrated at the base and not highly visible after the leaves are fully unfurled.
• The glossy green leaves really shine in the hosta garden.
• At maturity the leaves look like they've been crinkled.
• Can handle a lot of sun especially in northern states.
• Pale lavender flowers in late summer surprisingly not fragrant.
