• The center of the leaf lightens to a creamy-white as the season progresses.
• There is a lighter green color where the center of the leaf and margin overlap.
• Registered as a sport of 'American Sweetheart' but that doesn't seem plausible with the leaf characteristics. 
• Mark Zilis writes in the "Field Guide to Hostas" that it may be a sport of 'Captain Kirk'.
